Yachtmaster Ocean with a commercial endorsement. I run private yachts and charters, take boats across oceans on delivery, and look after them between the trips: maintenance, refit supervision, paperwork, everything that keeps a boat ready to go.
Teaching since 2015. I started as a coach with kids in a local club and now work mostly with adults, from a first day on the water up to skipper level. Small groups and as much time at the helm as I can give.
NAUI and SSI instructor, technical and full cave diver. I teach from the first breath underwater through rescue and technical courses, and I guide when somebody simply wants a good dive without an exam at the end.
I have spent most of my life on the water, first sailing, then diving, and somewhere along the way I started carrying a camera as well. I work as a skipper and an instructor, and I travel wherever the boats and the wind take me.
I grew up on boats. As a kid I raced optimist, then laser.
In 2015 I started teaching, first as a coach for children in my local club, later as a sailing and motorboat instructor working with adults. Since then I have skippered a Germán Frers 80ft carbon, a Swan 77 and a Swan 60. Other boats along the way: Fountaine Pajot Alegria 67, Hallberg Rassy 42, Hanse 63, Sunreef 60, Sweden Yachts 390, Nautitech 46, Lagoon 450, Bavaria 36, and two Atlantic crossings on Fountaine Pajot 40 and 45. Monohulls, catamarans, old and new, I am happy on all of them.
Diving took over the time between the seasons. I teach as a NAUI and SSI instructor, dive technical and full cave, and I carry a camera on most of it. On land I am an electronics engineer with three years behind a service desk as an IT specialist, which is why nothing electrical on board scares me.
